Kortárs műalkotással segítsük a köztünk élő rászoruló embereket!

Idén immár harmadik alkalommal rendezzük meg a “Művészek a Heti Betevőért” jótékonysági aukciót és kiállítást – köszönhetően annak a széleskörű összefogásnak, ami kortárs művészek – festők, fotográfusok, grafikusok – és önkénteseink, támogatóink közreműködésével valósul meg.

Több mint 40 alkotó ajánlotta fel számunkra a munkáját és az online licitből származó bevétel összegét, melyet ezúttal is teljes egészében a két fővárosi szervezetünk által elért rászoruló emberek támogatására fordítjuk.

Megtisztelő számunkra, hogy Darvasi László József Attila-díjas író, majd Alföldi Róbert Jászai Mari-díjas színész, műsorvezető, rendező után az idei évben Mácsai Pál Kossuth- és Jászai Mari-díjas színművész, rendező, az Örkény István Színház alapító igazgatója fogja megnyitni november 21-én, 18 órakor kezdődő kiállításunkat. Darvasi velünk szurkol végig, Alföldi újabb festményt alkot, ezért reméljük, évről-évre bővül támogatóink, barátaink köre. A művészeket november elsejétől kezdődően fogjuk bemutatni itt az eseményoldalon, a licit a kiállítás megnyitójának másnapján indul.

Idén ismét bázishelyünkhöz, a Kisüzemhez közeli illetve az egyik osztóhelyünkre, a Klauzál térre néző Kahan Art Space Gallery ad otthont a megnyitónak és az azt követő kiállításnak, melyet november 21-24 között lehet megtekinteni.

Supporting people in need with contemporary art and artists

This year sees the third “Artists for Heti Betevő”, our now well-known charity exhibition and online auction, thanks to the generous contribution of contemporary artists painters, photographers, graphic artists and to the ongoing support of our volunteers, donors and bidders. This year, more than 40 artists have offered their works. The income generated from the online bidding will be spent in its entirety on supporting the hundreds of local residents in dire need of help, which is provided each week by volunteers at Heti Betevő’s two Budapest branches.
It is our honour and privilege that this year’s exhibition will be officially opened at 6 pm on 21 November by Pál Mácsai, founding and acting director of Örkény Színház, following in the footsteps of László Darvasi, a giant of contemporary Hungarian literature, and Róbert Alföldi, actor and director of international acclaim, who opened the first two events. Mr. Darvasi has been supporting us ever since in various capacities, while Mr. Alföldi is donating another painting for this year’s exhibition. Their widely-public support helps broaden our already vast circle of friends, supporters and donors.
Each contributing artist will be individually presented on our event page, while the bidding begins the day after the opening ceremony. The exhibition venue is the same as last year, Kahan Art Space Gallery (Budapest, 1072 Nagy Diófa utca 34) overlooking Klauzál tér, just a few steps from Heti Betevő’s “headquarters” and one of the two food distribution centres, Kisüzem pub and bar.
We wish to extend our gratitude to everyone who has helped this year’s event materialise, and hope it will be even more fascinating than the previous ones. Please check this event page regularly in order to familiarise yourselves with the exhibiting and donating artists, and then join the bidding if you like their works and would like, at the same time, to support Heti Betevő.
We would appreciate it if you could share the information about our event and help us reach the widest audience possible. The only beneficiaries will be our weekly guests – those poor, often homeless people who need our ongoing support. It is never too late to join us Thank you!
