Najlepsze fotografie prasowe już po raz trzeci w Nowohuckim Centrum Kultury w Krakowie! ???
Na wystawie „World Press Photo 2019” zostaną pokazane ujęcia nagrodzone w konkursie organizowanym przez Fundację World Press Photo – na 62. edycję konkursu napłynęło przeszło 78 tysięcy zdjęć nadesłanych przez ponad 4,5 tysiąca fotografów ze 129 krajów.
Grand Prix 62. edycji konkursu (a zarazem I miejsce w kategorii Spot News) zdobył amerykański fotoreporter John Moore, który zwycięski kadr uchwycił w Teksasie, podczas akcji służb granicznych 12 czerwca 2018 r. Moore sfotografował płaczącą dwulatkę podczas przeszukania jej matki, Yanelli Sanchez, imigrantki z Hondurasu, przez służby. Tydzień później administracja Donalda Trumpa zrezygnowała z kontrowersyjnego rozdzielania dzieci i rodziców na amerykańsko-meksykańskiej granicy.

The 2019 exhibition features the World Press Photo of the Year, and for the first time, the World Press Photo Story of the Year. The winners were chosen by an independent jury that reviewed more than 78,801 photographs entered by 4,738 photographers from 129 countries.
