Haiman Helga fotóművész első önálló kiállítása Molnár Péter verseivel.

Az ,,Itt sem, ott sem vagyok” cím egy olyan létállapotra utal, ahol az ember folyamatos keresésben él, amely kérdőjelek és járatlan utak sokaságát foglalja magába. Az ember itt sem, ott sem létezik mikor a világtól el van zárva – mikor helyét és társát keresi az elveszettségben.
Haiman Helga Angliában, a University of Warwick Film és Irodalom szak hallgatója. Munkáinak témája elsősorban az ember, a hozzá társított érzelmek, az azokkal való belső küzdelem. Ezáltal az ember és ember közötti kapcsolat vizuális értelmezése is megjelenik alkotásaiban. Munkássága során folytonosan törekszik a poetikus kifejezés módra, mely szerint képei metaforikus jelentéssel bírnak. Az érzelmek kusza világát ábrázolják, ezzel a nézőt szabad asszociációra invitálva.
A kiállítás témája az önkép, a test és az azon belüli viszonyok, melyek formáit és jelentéseit két magyar táncművésszel, Lukács Leventével és Rácz Rékával eleveníti meg a fotográfus.
Testünkkel való kapcsolatunk sok szempontból meghatározó. Megjelenik saját magunkkal ápolt viszonyunkban, személyiségünk kialakulásában, illetve másokhoz és a térhez való kapcsolatunkban. Valamilyen formában mindig bennünk van az a tudatosság, ahogy a testünket figyeljük, értelmezzük, változtatjuk. Míg minden más mulandó körülöttünk, a testünk mindig velünk marad? Talán ebben rejlik a harmónia? Helga képei ezekre a kérdésekre keresik a választ.

A kiállítást Szarvas Ildikó, képzőművész – tanár, nyitja meg, ezt követően Haiman Helga beszél alkotótársairól és a közös munkáról, végül a kiállítás szellemiségéhez organikusan kapcsolódó irodalmi művek szerzője, Molnár Péter versei kerülnek felolvasásra.

Helga Haiman: I am neither here, nor there
Photographer Helga Haiman’s first independent exhibition accompanied by Péter Molnár’s poems.
“I am somehow hovering between the two. At one time I am closer to the present, at one I am in my association to it” (Levente Lukács)
The title, ‘I am neither here, nor there’, refers to a state of being, that is marked by one’s incessant quest, and consists of the multitude of question marks and unbeaten paths. Man is neither here, nor there when locked away from the world in search for his place and companion, being disconnected, as he is.
Helga Haiman is currently studying Film and Literature at the University of Warwick in England. The primary subjects of her works are man, his emotions, and the internal battle of the two. Through this, the visual interpretation of the relationship between man and man also appears in Helga’s artwork. Throughout her career, she has always aimed for a poetic mode of expression which implies that her images carry metaphoric meanings. They portray the chaotic realm of emotions that invites the audience to interpret them with free assoication.
The theme of this exhibition is the self-image, the body and its internal relations, whose various forms and meanings are evoked through the performance of Hungarian dancers, Levente Lukács and Réka Rácz.
Our relationship with our bodies is determinative for several reasons, as it is crucial to our own self-consciousness, the formation of our identity as well as to our relatedness to others and the space surrounding us. In some way, we keep inspecting, interpreting, and transforming our bodies with a certain type of alertness that we never truly forgo. In the midst of an ever-changing world, can we preserve our attachment to our body? Is this where the harmony lies? Helga’s pictures seek the answer to such dilemma.
The photographs are accompanied by Péter Molnár’s poetry, who is currently studying Comparative Literature at the University College London.

Artist and professor Ildikó Szarvas opens the exhibition, followed by Helga Haiman’s short speech of the collaboration with the other artists. The recitation of Péter Molnár’s poems concludes the opening.
