A Robert Capa Kortárs Fotográfiai Központ tisztelettel meghívja Önt és barátait az Apropó, Capa című kiállítás megnyitójára 2019. november 13-án, szerdán, 18.30 órára.

A kiállítást megnyitja: Pálfalusi Attila, a MOME oktatója

A 2018/19-es tanév tavaszi félévében a Moholy-Nagy Művészeti Egyetem Média Design BA szakos hallgatói egy Robert Capával készült rádióinterjú kapcsán foglalkoztak a magyar származású, világhírű haditudósító emlékezetével, és ezzel összefüggésben a fotóriport, a dokumentarizmus kortárs kihívásaival. Az 1947-ben készült hangfelvétel már a megjelenésekor is kivételes volt, hiszen a nyilvánosság ekkor találkozhatott először a fotóriporter hangjával, de azóta is ez az egyetlen tőle ismert rádióinterjú. Capa a huszonhárom perces felvételen az épp akkor megjelent könyvéről, az életéről és a kalandjairól mesél. Fábián Noémi és Pálfalusi Attila, a MOME oktatói, az interjút kiindulópontként osztották meg a diákokkal és a hangfelvétel értelmezésére, szabad asszociációra, aktuális kontextusok keresésére kérték fel őket a média design eszközeinek segítségével. Az így készült munkák egy háborút közvetlen közelről nem tapasztalt, fiatal generáció reflexiói Bob Capa élményeire és általában a fotóriporteri tevékenység és a média szerepére életünkben.

Opening remarks by Attila Pálfalusi, professor of the MOME

In the spring semester of the academic year 2018/19, students of the Media Design BA program of the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design Budapest dealt with the memory of Robert Capa, the world-renowned war correspondent of Hungarian descent and the contemporary challenges of photojournalism and documentarism through the study of a radio interview with the photographer. The 1947 sound recording was extraordinary when it first appeared, as it was the first time the public could hear the voice of a photojournalist, but it has since been the only radio interview known with him. In the 23-minute recording, Capa talks about his then-released book, his life, and his adventures. Noémi Fábián and Attila Pálfalusi, MOME instructors, shared the interview with their students as a starting point and asked them to interpret the audio, find free associations, and search for current contexts using media design tools. The pieces thus produced are reflections of a young generation, which had never experienced war, on Bob Capa’s experiences, photojournalistic work and the role of media in our lives in general.
